Written by my great-grandfather, Frederick Augustine Rupp M.D., in 1910, this rare text touches on the forbidden topic of discussing the taboo of sexually contracted and transmitted diseases with your daughters before they contract the diseases unknowingly after they are already married. The morals and attitudes about sex, and even speaking of it, are far removed from what is considered acceptable today. However, it still isn't as talked about as it should be. He wrote a lengthy letter to his two daughters, who were away at preparatory school warning them of the dangers of diseased men. He not only asked them to share his information with their classmates, but to please respond back with questions, which he would answer. That second letter is also contained here, as well as a letter to parents of girls.This small book, its first time in the digital world, is extremely hard to find. I decided to save it and hand type my personal copy in its entirety before it is lost to time. The language and timing in the transition period of Victorian to Edwardian writing is a bit different to read than our modern writing as is the punctuation.
