We sat at a small restaurant on a Caribbean beach on New Year's Day 2012, kneeling in front of Vanessa Redgrave and singing her a song from Camelot..."So begins a sweeping, century-spanning journey of family luck, glittering highs, and sudden ruin. Written over ten years and meticulously drawn from deep family papers, press archives, and intimate recorded conversations, My Father’s Camelot is an unforgettable literary memoir that crosses four countries to discover how each part of a life quietly prepares you for the next. The story moves seamlessly across a canvas of vibrant worlds:The Milan Fashion Edge: Step inside a glamorous, fast-paced world beside a charismatic father building a modeling empire. The Maryland Academy: Explore the three-hundred-acre estate profiled by People Magazine in 1983 as a premier modeling workshop. The European Crossroads: Follow a mother trained at RADA crossing a post-war Europe entirely on her own nerve. The Caribbean Dream: Journey to the shores of Anguilla, where a shipping container and a chance lunch lead to the birth of Trattoria Tramonto. For over twenty years, this legendary restaurant on the white sands of Shoal Bay West served as a sanctuary where local island families, traveling fishermen, movie stars, and global icons—from Robert De Niro and Bill Clinton to Liam Neeson and Robert Plant—all shared tables on the sand. Until September 2017, when Hurricane Irma took the roof, the bar, and every photograph on the wall in a single, devastating night.Perfect for readers of sweeping family sagas, culinary and hospitality biographies, and deep travel memoirs, My Father’s Camelot is a rich, honest testament to resilience, the beauty of the Caribbean, and what it truly means to build a life from the ground up.Scroll up and click "Buy Now" to step onto the sand and discover a life beautifully lived.
